Microsoft claimed Saturday that customers of its Azure cloud platform might experience boosted latency after multiple undersea cords were reduced in the Red Sea, as reported in Bloomberg
In a standing update, the firm said website traffic going through the Center East or ending in Asia or Europe had actually been affected. It did not say that had reduced the cables or why.
“Undersea fiber cuts can take some time to fix, thus we will continuously keep track of, rebalance, and maximize transmitting to reduce consumer effect in the meantime,” the condition upgrade stated.
By Saturday evening, Microsoft said it was no longer identifying any kind of Azure issues.
